Sommar

Nunnankatu 4, 20700 Turku

Sunshine. Friends. Long Summer Evenings.

Sommar is a seasonal summer restaurant located in the historic and rustic Makasiini building of the Art House Turku (Taiteen talo), right in the city's heart. We serve inventive, shareable dishes inspired by a market-to-plate ideology. Our menu changes daily, based on the best ingredients available at the market. The kitchen style is relaxed and bistro-like. We focus on clear flavours, local ingredients, and a laid-back atmosphere. At Sommar, you can unwind and focus on what really matters – good food and carefully selected drinks enjoyed in good company. We’re open only from May to the end of August, making every evening a special one. For the Food & Fun Festival, we’ll open our doors once more – offering a rare opportunity to experience Sommar’s atmosphere in an autumn setting.

Food & Fun Festival at Sommar: Wed–Sat 16–23 (kitchen open 17–22) Sun closed
